Stables, Bisterne
|
SFHT is a Registered Charity and was established by a group of families in 1980. They were seeking alternative care to the very limited choices available to them at that time. The first home was set up at Stables in Bisterne, Hampshire. Further houses were purchased as more people sought residential care from the organisation . Day services were developed to meet the needs of residents and other local people and the Trust now serves more than eighty people. |
SFHT became a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2002. The Board of Trustees comprises nine non-executive members, three of whom have a relative with a learning disability supported by the Trust. The Board meets four times a year and holds its AGM in the autumn. An Annual meeting is held for Family Members to update them on Trust activities and to present the accounts and audit. |
