Volunteers

The Stable Family Home Trust recognises that volunteers play a valued and important role in the services it provides, enabling us to offer greater choices to the people we support.

Volunteering at SFHT is fun and rewarding and utilises an individual’s interests, skills and experience. We offer flexibility so volunteering can be undertaken at a time most convenient to you.

SFHT offers a variety of volunteering roles, supporting people to engage in various activities across its Day Services at Aspire (Bisterne near Ringwood), Evolve (Southbourne) and Gifted (small garden centre & artisan craft shop in Highcliffe).

SFHT is also looking to recruit volunteers to help in its Residential and Supported Living Services, supporting with excursions & social events.

We are always in need of volunteers to join our friendly Fund Development Team, either helping with admin tasks or with organising events, making these moments special and memorable to all.

As long as you have a desire and a commitment to help, this role does not require any extraordinary skills. All you need are positive personal qualities such as compassion, understanding and patience.

Volunteering with us gives you the chance to develop your skills, gain experience, meet new people and join a passionate and dedicated team, where you will feel valued and appreciated.

If you have a few hours to spare, this could make a real difference to people with learning disabilities to live happy and fulfilled lives. We guarantee that the friendship and gratitude reciprocated will live long in your memory.

Volunteering at SFHT is subject to completion of a recruitment process which includes a DBS check. All essential expenses (including travel) are reimbursed to ensure volunteers are not out of pocket.
